How I got into insulation
I learned insulation under an old-school boss who made me tear out and redo anything that wasn't right. His point was that once insulation goes in, nobody sees what's under it again, so I look hard at your attic, walls and crawl space first and I won't cover up a problem. I started Tifton Spray Foam Insulation here in Tifton in 2017, and that's still how we work.
Most of our calls come from homeowners, landlords and a few small business owners about a high power bill, a hot upstairs or a room over the garage that won't cool down, or a crawl space that stays damp. The fix usually starts with the prep nobody sees, the checking and sealing before anything gets covered, and I want you to understand what you're paying for and why each step comes where it does. I'm the one who comes out, looks over your house and writes the estimate, and I run the job our crew does. What we talked about is what gets done, because nobody's handing your job to someone who wasn't there.
An estimate you can compare line by line
Your written estimate lists each area, like the attic, the room over the garage or the crawl space, and the material going there. That way you can set it next to any other quote and see what's the same and what isn't.
Straight answers on foam or blown-in
Foam costs more because it seals air while it insulates, and in most attics, sealing the gaps and topping up with loose fill blown in through a hose does the job unless your ductwork runs up there. We'll lay out choices like that, foam or blown-in, walls or floor, with the reasons behind each, and then it's your call.
Licensing, insurance and permits

Georgia's licensing board for residential and commercial general contractors oversees construction contracting in the state, and the state's guide for residential contractors says a license is required to do the work. We carry our license and insurance so the work on your house is covered, and you're welcome to ask about either one at your estimate.
City business license and permits
The City of Tifton requires every business inside the city to hold a city business license, and its Building and Permitting office issues the permits for renovations and additions, which have to be in hand before work starts. Each city and county has its own office, so we check with the one where your home is and take care of the permit paperwork when your job calls for one.
